2nd Tirana Gas Pipeline Safety Workshop

Albania is entering a gasification era with the construction of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP).

Safety is of paramount importance and priority in Gas Sector, globally. The pipeline construction in Albania apart from the significant contribution to the Albanian economy will also introduce the country to the worldwide high safety standards that TAP is committed to. Consequently, it will provide an excellent opportunity for Albania to improve the safety standards overall as a main responsibility towards the environment and the citizens, as the case with the construction of the High and Medium pressure gas system, twenty five years ago, in Greece.

Τhe Office for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Embassy of Greece in Albania, in cooperation with Management Force Group, a specialized Safety Consultant, with a long and deep experience in gas safety, under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy & Industry, have successfully organized the 2nd Tirana Gas Pipelines Safety Workshop «Step by step approach», at Sheraton Tirana Hotel, on April 20th.

The workshop was focused on safety of gas pipelines during construction, operation and handling from the design phase.

The workshop gathered together distinguished Speakers and Guests from Ministries and State Administration, TAP and TAP contractors, Institutions including AKBN and the Albanian OSHA, the local Oil & Gas Sector, International Oil & Gas Sector companies (engineering, contractors, and consultants), Academia, etc.
