4th Tirana Gas Pipelines Safety Workshop

The Office for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Embassy of Greece in Albania, in cooperation with MANAGEMENT FORCE Group have successfully organized the 4th Tirana Gas Pipelines Safety Workshop, “Keep on the Safety path in Gas Sector and beyond”.

The 4th Workshop, which was under the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure & Energy, was successfully held at Sheraton Tirana Hotel on December 1st, 2017.

Albania has developed a fast pace at various levels in getting into the gasification era with the construction of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). The Country’s Gas Master Plan was presented on 6 July 2016.

Safety is of paramount importance and priority in Gas Sector, globally. The gasification of Albania apart from the significant contribution to the Albanian economy also provides the opportunity to improve safety procedures and to adapt to a world class safety approach.

In this framework, an initiative has been undertaken by the Office for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Embassy of Greece in Albania, in cooperation with MANAGEMENT FORCE Group, a specialized Safety Consultant with a long and deep experience in safety in the Oil & Gas Sector.

The initiative concerns a Safety Capacity Building Programme that provides an open forum for safety in public and private sector, at the institutional and business level and the society in general. Since October 2015, three workshops, endorsed by the Ministry of Infrastructure & Energy, have been very successfully held (the second in April 2016 and the third in November 2016).

The 4th Workshop was shaped into a working group format with the aim to evaluate the progress and the results so far achieved and plan for the future.
